Blueberry Lemon Squares
Is it alright with everyone if I squeeze in one more lemon-themed recipe for this month? Because I'm doing it anyway.

Lemon Lemon Loaf
Hi, My name is Valerie and I'm hopelessly addicted to lemons, limes and all their nefarious dessert incarnations. I don't plan on seeking any help, rather I've decided to take the opposite route and welcome my obsession with open arms (and lips.)

Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies
For as much as I enjoy finding excuses to add rum to just about anything, I had to stick to the bourbon on this one. And because of the inclusion of booze, I'm hoping to avoid any potential eye-rolling at yet another chocolate chip cookie recipe...making this the second in September.

Project Food Blog is a friendly competition between FoodBuzz publishers. Yes, I said friendly. Cooks, bakers, and bloggers share a unique, sometimes obsessive, appreciation of food.

Tuesdays with Dorie: Nectarine Berry Upside-Down Cake
This week's Tuesdays with Dorie recipe was chosen by Sabrina, of the refreshingly summery blog Superfluous. The original recipe is actually for a cranberry upside-down cake, but Dorie kindly included a fruitier alternative for those of us who are not quite ready to step completely into Autumn.

Lemon Lime Bars
"...so the freshness lives on
in a lemon,
in the sweet-smelling house of the rind,
the proportions, arcane and acerb. " ( Pablo Neruda)
in a lemon,
in the sweet-smelling house of the rind,
the proportions, arcane and acerb. " ( Pablo Neruda)
Because I'm in love with the writings of Pablo Neruda and all things citrus, I may be a bit biased when I say that his appreciation of the lemon is nothing short of miraculous brilliance.

Salted Caramel Pecan Shortbread
Caramel, my warm and sometimes temperamental cold-weather-companion, has returned. And the reunion didn't require too much persuasion. A cool night, the slight chill carried on a breeze and the need to pull out my beloved grey cardigan.

Peanut Butter-Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
This week's Tuesdays with Dorie recipe was hosted by the lovely Jasmine, of Jasmine Cuisine. She chose peanut butter crisscrosses. Because I'm a peanut butter addict, I had already made that particular recipe several times. And due my constant need to try various incarnations of peanut butter, I decided to bake/devour these peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies instead.

Cream Cheese Marbled Brownies
I'm so easy when it comes to falling for foods based solely on their appearance. Of course these brownies have a sinfully rich taste and moist fudgy texture, but they're so pretty too!
