I'm slightly fickle when it comes to which food(s) I prefer. If I had to choose one dessert to live on for the rest of my life, it would be key lime pie. Next week it might be dark chocolate and peanut butter.

Sometimes a cookie just isn't enough, you need to sink your teeth into something more substantial. Enter the classic blondie. They are basically pudgy, pimped out cookies.

After much deliberation and erratically indecisive behavior, I finally landed on a recipe to christen my new KitchenAid and cook book with.

Isn't she lovely? Her name is Lola. I wanted to get a full shot of her but she's too big to fit into the frame of my point and shoot camera (as it is, this photo looks like it was taken by my cat.) But I don't care. I have a KitchenAid stand mixer!

Is it crazy to be obsessed with a baking pan? A mini bundt cake pan to be exact. Seriously, if I could make cookies, pies, pasta, and salad in this thing, I would. Everything goes into it's softly rounded contours, come out so beautifully.

Tuesday's episode of The Deadliest Catch was, emotionally speaking, the most dramatic so far. Anyone who watches the show is familiar with Captain Phil Harris. His larger than life personality, and even larger heart, will be greatly missed.

Congratulations, Spain!! I'm sad that the World Cup is over (how boring to think of going back to the usual sports...please catch on here, futball.) South Africa was a wonderful host country. Thank you!

Silky, chocolate. Simplicity meets decadence, and you wish everything in life could be as harmonious. The photos are not very handsome representations of this particular dessert. My little point & shoot camera fell into a slice of cake.
